Carrier Blood Test
Almost every individual carries a gene for at least one genetic disorder. Carriers are individuals that have a mutation in a set of genes but have no signs of the disease. Most screenings are to determine recessive disorders in both partners to see if any mutations will be passed on.

The process,

A sample of blood, saliva, or tissue from the inside of your cheek will be tested. Typically, one partner who is more likely to be a carrier will be tested first.
